Consulting Engineers of the Northwest Territories

CENT is a society registered under the laws of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. CENT is an association of independent engineering consulting firms that are located in the NWT and Nunavut and offer engineering services to public and private clients within and outside the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

Firms qualify for membership to CENT by meeting criteria such as:

• Shall be firms (including sole practitioners) or branches of firms which furnish independent consulting engineering services.
• Shall be managed by, or be responsible to, a professional engineer or engineers registered in the Northwest Territories or Nunavut and resident in a Territory or Province in Canada.
• Shall be engaged primarily in the business of offering independent consulting engineering services to the public and maintain an office or offices in the NWT for this purpose.
• Shall practice consulting engineering in accordance with the Engineering & Geoscience Professions Act and Bylaws.

The purpose of CENT is to assist in promoting satisfactory business relations between consulting firms of CENT and their clients, and to promote the business interests of CENT's members.
